Above is a link to the game Go. It is a Chinese originated strategy game which consists of Black and White pieces. The point of the game is to control as much territory as possible while gaining points. There are ways to combat each other by taking pieces and locking pieces in place. I have recently just started playing and it is very interesting. Each time I play, and lose, I learn new ways of strategy. My latest game I lost by 82 points, which is pretty steep :/. However, I learned a lot through that game. I definitely recommend giving it a try. BUT, learn the rules first. You will thank me when you lose and you're like, woah what happened?! How did I lose!? I know I did.

In comparison to chess: chess has specific rules for specific pieces. Like where each piece can go, how they can move, yada yada yada. In Go, it is not like that. You can place a piece almost anywhere on the board. However, if your opponent has locked down a piece of territory, you cannot get that again. So you must be on point when placing pieces so you can avoid losing territory!
