The Sun and Eric Dollard

The Sun is the source of light and life on our planet. It is constantly heating and giving us, humans, the ability to do what we do during the day. A relative of mine shared this video to me and I found it very interesting.

Above is the video of Eric Dollard. He is an infamous electrical engineer who has substantially influenced the field of electrical theory and was the only man besides Nikola Tesla to build a Magnifying Transmitter! Even though he's been caught for being a Meth Addict, his discussions on electrical theory are astounding and mind boggling. In the above video, Eric speaks about light and the sun. The biggest claim he makes is that if you go into free space, you will not see the sun. He states that light cannot be seen unless absorbed or reflected off of a material object. So when you are in free space and you look at the sun, you cannot see the sun. However, you will be able to see that light exists when looking at Earth, the Moon, or other planets. I'm starting to do my own little research on this claim and so far, others have agreed upon Eric's statement. If you feel uneasy about the claim, do your own research as well. Arm yourself with knowledge so you can make a statement as well.

Go Game

http://www.cosumi.net/en/

Above is a link to the game Go. It is a Chinese originated strategy game which consists of Black and White pieces. The point of the game is to control as much territory as possible while gaining points. There are ways to combat each other by taking pieces and locking pieces in place. I have recently just started playing and it is very interesting. Each time I play, and lose, I learn new ways of strategy. My latest game I lost by 82 points, which is pretty steep :/. However, I learned a lot through that game. I definitely recommend giving it a try. BUT, learn the rules first. You will thank me when you lose and you're like, woah what happened?! How did I lose!? I know I did.

In comparison to chess: chess has specific rules for specific pieces. Like where each piece can go, how they can move, yada yada yada. In Go, it is not like that. You can place a piece almost anywhere on the board. However, if your opponent has locked down a piece of territory, you cannot get that again. So you must be on point when placing pieces so you can avoid losing territory!

Good luck and have fun! The computer is VICIOUS!

What I Do

I've always enjoyed writing. I've always wanted to take my writing to new heights and connect to others on an intellectual and, perhaps, personal level. I also like to look up things on the Internet and I create ideas or realizations that I need to be able to write down. This is what this blog is for.

Whenever I find something new or interesting, I will post the link on here, summarize my find, and maybe ask some questions so my readers can engage in conversation and reach new heights of thought alongside with me! I will try my best to post a couple of times a week. If I do not, send me some bad emails :) See you on the web!
